MEMBERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES AND COMMITMENT

All choir members are expected to participate in all rehearsals, concert performances, and special performance opportunities.  Please review the schedule and notify the President of any conflicts you may have.

Day/Time, Location and Attendance

Ø  Rehearsals are held Monday evenings from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church, 1978 Mt Vernon Rd in Dunwoody 30338.

Ø  Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of rehearsals.

Ø  Please be courteous and arrive early to respect your fellow performers. Arriving early will also allow you to pick up any new music or information as it becomes available and transact any business such as ticket pickup or payments.

Ø  Section Leaders take attendance at every rehearsal.  If you are not able to attend a rehearsal, you must contact your Section Leader, Conductor or CGA President prior to the start of rehearsal.

Ø  Please be aware that if you miss two rehearsals or a concert in a series, it is the responsibility of the Member to meet with the Director and CGA President to discuss whether you will be able to sing with the CGA for the upcoming performance.  The member could start rehearsals again for the next performance. If absenteeism persists as a problem over more than one concert rehearsal series, dismissal from the CGA will be considered.

Ø  If a Member is not able to sing with the CGA for a particular performance due to missed rehearsals, it is encouraged and appreciated if they help the day of the concert ushering or taking tickets.

 Dues

Ø  Annual dues for Membership are $140 which includes 2 season tickets.

Ø  In the event that you wish to “opt out” of any fund raising activities, aside from ticket and ad sales, sponsored by the CGA, your Membership dues will be $340 which also includes the two season tickets.

Ø  Dues should be paid no later than the second rehearsal.

Ø  If you join the CGA after the season starts or  need to make special arrangements for paying your dues, please contact our CGA Treasurer.

Tickets

Ø  Members may sell season tickets or may give them as gifts to family or friends who will attend the concerts.

Music Fees

Ø  Members will pay for their music at the beginning of each concert series rehearsals. The music fees are usually less than $30. The music fees will be collected by our CGA Librarian as the music is distributed.

Concert Attire

Ø  Members are also expected to adhere to the CGA Concert Attire Policy and to purchase any attire needed to comply with our uniform policy.
